The MRHC has received a grant for $3,714 from the Michigan Council for the Humanities for the special exhibit, One World to Another: The History of the Canoe. The exhibit explores the use of the canoe from the fur trade era to modern times. Members of the National Wooden Canoe Heritage Association feature prized examples of modern birchbark, early wooden and canvas canoes on display. The exhibit will be on display from May 14-September 1, 2012
