The C. Fred Rydholm Gathering Hall on the first floor of the Marquette Regional History Center is available for rent for wedding receptions, parties or community events.

The hall seats 200 people at round tables, with 200 chairs being included in the rental price. Tables are not included.

There is a kitchen available for use with a refrigerator, oven and commercial sink. Renters are responsible for providing their own catering, decorating and set-up for the event. The MRHC only provides the space and chairs. There are cleaning supplies available, and all restroom paper products.

The dome over the hall will be lit up to brighten your special occasion.

Our green space / lawn is included in your rental. A conference room closed from main gathering hall is included. ADA accessible bathrooms and the upstairs dome mezzanine floor space is also included.

Rental is for one day only. 
  • New option to buy-in for a day-before set up (not event) from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. while the museum is open to the public.
  • Set up time begins at 10:00 a.m. on the primary day of the rental.
  • An early set up at 8:30 is allowed for an additional fee if you are not purchasing the day-before set up.
  • ​Tear down/clean-up is the night of the event. Event start times will be 4:30 pm or later (for Saturday rentals, our museum is open 10:00-3:00). End time for rentals will be 11:00 p.m. or earlier.
  • A $400 security deposit is required and will be returned should no damage occur.
  • An additional insured insurance policy is also required.

We are now booking into 2026. The cost to rent in 2026 is $2,200 for use of the space on the agreed date. $2,700 with Friday-before set up from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. while the museum is open to the public. Or, a day-of early set up at 8:30 a.m. is available for $175. 
A required $400 security deposit will be returned should no damage occur. An "additional-insured" insurance policy is required to be on file before event date.

Non-profit and business rentals may work with our Rental Manager for negotiable hourly rentals.
