Thank you for your interest in our program recorded February 9, 2022:

The Yardmaster: A Working Railroad of Today

This is a recording of the presentation in our gathering hall. The presenters did not have slides for this lecture program. This presentation was given by Anne and Tony Erspamer. We were able to hear what work on the railroad leading to the LS&I ore dock at Upper Harbor is like. You have seen an ore boat load from shore, but how does the ore get to the dock? What steps are involved in coordinating shipment from the mine to the yard, and then to the dock? Tony held this job of a yardmaster, and Anne has written a children’s book about this fascinating work.

After this $5 purchase, you will receive a PDF that contains the link to the program.

Thank you for your support of regional history!
